The Tap In is a weekly talk show dedicated to football fans, crafted by The Sun, “the people's newspaper”.

I created a brand that seamlessly integrates with The Sun's iconic identity, maintaining a bold, graphic aesthetic aimed at leaving a lasting impression. Drawing from The Sun's signature red, white, and black color palette, the design incorporates dynamic dashes to infuse movement, capturing the energy of the sport.

The studio's backdrop was created with torn pages from the sport section and halftone texture, creating a cohesive visual narrative that links back to The Sun as a newspaper.

I created a series of idents for various show segments, each with a unique identity while fitting the main Tap In branding. “Comment of the Week” featured animated speech bubbles and dynamic typography, while
“The Pressure Test,” a game segment where contestants pumped up footballs, used inflated typography. I wanted each ident to stand out yet stay within the overall aesthetic of The Tap In.

When The Tap In became a podcast, the artwork maintained the branding with the same color palette and graphic elements, ensuring a seamless visual connection across platforms and enhancing the show’s recognition.
